About Me
My name is Ruthie Caswell, and I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina.
My first ever interest for acting piqued when I was around 11/12 years old. I had two favorite T.V shows I obsessed over. The Andy Griffith Show and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I swore I was going to be the next Opie Taylor (Ron Howard) or become the voice of an iconic character like Ahsoka Tano (Ashley Ekstein). As a kid, I placed those dreams in a journal. I never took initiative until a few years later.
I picked up acting my freshman year of high school. At first, it was just to complete a required speech credit, but I ended up taking to the craft. That following year I joined my school's competition acting team. I'll admit, those next three years challenged my reserved personality. From speaking, singing, and my personal enemy, dancing in front of hundreds of people, I learned to overcome a lot of my social anxiety.
Throughout my experience so far, I've learned that I love to entertain people, especially in the humor department. I love the art of storytelling and getting to portray characters that people can relate to or aspire to be like. Creating is truly my passion (along with Star Wars), and I hope to continue to do so with every opportunity I get.
